Domaine Allimant-Laugner

The Wines

Allimant-Laugner produces a reserve range from Alsace’s seven major grape varieties, including Grand Cru wines from the Praelatenberg vineyard and late-harvest Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles sweet wines.

But the winery is most well-known for its two traditional methode Crémants d’Alsace— a Brut made from a blend of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Riesling and a 100% Pinot Noir Rosé.

The Domaine

3 generations of winemakers work at the Domaine Allimant-Laugner, located at the bottom of the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle.

A special Grand Cru

Their vineyards of 12 hectares is planted on the main soils found in Alsace : limestone, granite and gneiss for the Grand Cru Praelatenberg.

A unique Terroir

Praelatenberg stands out by the combination of its microclimate and the terroir gneiss content. The latter provides wines with crystalline and elegant minerality, regardless the grape variety. All of the wines are marked by freshness and racy acidity, thanks to the winery’s 100% use of stainless steel tanks for vinification. The Grand Cru Rieslings are complex, powerful and long-lived, and the ready-to-drink Crémants are dry and elegant with layers of fresh fruit and bright mineral notes.
